We’ve been jamming together since we learned how to play an instrument. Nick, Costa and Bradley began hacking through Rancid, Face to Face and NOFX songs in 1998. We became known (amongst a very tight circle) as PORNFLAKZ and started playing wherever people would listen. In ’99 the name changed to ERNIE’S GONE MAD…we began playing more shows and took our first stab at writing our own material. In 2001 everybody went away to school and EGM called it quits. In early 2006 Bradley was looking to form a new group as the members of DOWNBEAT (Scotty P, HUMPZ, Marcel, Bradley) had recently gone their separate ways. We hooked up for a jam in February and the chemistry was still there. Something was missing though…our sound needed more “crunch”. Mark “Sparkz” Imgrund came to the rescue. After the first jam as a 4 piece we knew Mark was the missing link…he immediately took charge as the front man and brought the energy that we needed. At first we played covers of our favorite songs by artists including The Clash, Operation Ivy, Against Me!, Rancid, Face to Face, Minor Threat, etc etc and began to develop our own sound. The originals started writing themselves, and we began playing gigs locally. It doesn’t matter if we are playing for 4 people or 400 people (or nobody at all!) we give it all we got. That’s all...
